- Download the “Voter Helpline” app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, published by the Election Commission of India.

- Enter your EPIC number (printed on your existing card) or search using your name, date of birth, and state to locate your record.

- The PDF is password-protected; the password is typically the first 4 letters of your name in capital letters followed by your year of birth (the app shows the exact format on screen).

How New Voters Get Their e-EPIC for the First Time
If you have just registered to vote for the first time using Form 6 on the Voter Helpline app or NVSP portal:
- Track your application status using the reference ID provided at the time of submission.
- Once the Booth Level Officer verifies your application and the Electoral Registration Officer approves it, your status changes to “Accepted” and an EPIC number is generated.
- You will typically receive an SMS notification once your application is approved.
- You can then proceed to download your e-EPIC immediately through the app or website, even before any physical card arrives by post.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download e-EPIC for a family member using my own mobile number?
You can search for and view any voter’s basic electoral roll entry using the public search feature, but downloading the actual e-EPIC PDF requires OTP verification sent specifically to the mobile number linked with that particular EPIC record. You cannot download another person’s e-EPIC using your own mobile OTP unless their mobile number happens to be the one registered against their EPIC, and even then the OTP needs to be entered by whoever has access to that phone.
Is there a limit on how many times I can download my e-EPIC?
No, there is no restriction on the number of times you can download your own e-EPIC once your identity is verified through OTP. You can re-download it anytime you need a fresh copy, whether your previous download was lost, deleted, or you simply need another copy for a new purpose.
I moved to a new address. Does downloading e-EPIC update my address automatically?
No. Downloading the e-EPIC only generates the digital version of your existing electoral roll record; it does not update your address. If you have moved, you need to file Form 8 to update your address details or transfer your registration to your new constituency. Once that update is approved, your e-EPIC will reflect the corrected address when you download it next.
