Updated on June 15, 2026
Odisha’s Subhadra Yojana launched on September 17, 2024, and has enrolled over 1.07 crore women across all 30 districts of the state. The scheme pays Rs 50,000 per woman over five years: Rs 10,000 per year, split as two Rs 5,000 instalments, one on International Women’s Day (March 8) and one on Raksha Bandhan (August).
The 4th instalment of Rs 5,000 was released on March 8, 2026, to 1.02 crore women. The 5th instalment is expected on Raksha Bandhan, August 2026.
If your payment has not arrived or your name is missing from the list, read on.
How the Five-Year Payment Works
Year 1: Rs 5,000 (September 2024 launch) + Rs 5,000 (Raksha Bandhan 2025) = Rs 10,000 Year 2: Rs 5,000 (March 8, 2026) + Rs 5,000 (August 2026, upcoming) Year 3 onwards: Same pattern through 2028-29
Total across five years: Rs 50,000 per eligible woman.
All payments go directly into your Aadhaar-linked bank account through the DBT system. No intermediaries.
Who Is Eligible
Age: 21 to 60 years, permanent resident of Odisha.
Exclusions: Women who already receive Rs 1,500 or more per month from any other government scheme are not eligible. Income tax payers are excluded. Women who own a four-wheeler are excluded.
If you qualify on all fronts but were rejected, check whether the exclusion was applied correctly, some women were incorrectly flagged based on household income miscalculation.
Checking Your Beneficiary Status
Go to subhadra.odisha.gov.in
Click “Beneficiary List.” Select your district, block, and Gram Panchayat. Search for your name using the exact spelling on your Aadhaar card.
Important: The Beneficiary List and the Payment List are separate. Being on the Beneficiary List means you were approved. Being on the Payment List for a specific instalment means the payment was actually released to you. Check both, some approved women show NPCI Bank Mapping errors that block the actual payment.
NPCI Bank Mapping Error: The Most Common Blocker
“NPCI Rejected” means your application was approved but the payment bounced because your bank account is not properly linked to the NPCI Aadhaar Payment Bridge.
Fix: Visit your bank branch with your Aadhaar card. Ask them to activate “Aadhaar seeding” and “NPCI mapper activation” on your account. This is a 10-minute process at the bank counter. Once done, your next instalment goes through without issue. Missed instalments from past NPCI errors are released in the next payment cycle.
Digital Literacy Bonus
Women who rank among the top 100 cashless digital transaction users in their Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body earn a Rs 500 bonus under the Subhadra Yojana. This is paid alongside the regular instalment.
To be counted, you need a UPI or debit card-linked payment account. The state tracks digital transaction counts through the banking system, you do not apply for the bonus separately.
The 5th Instalment: What to Do Before August 2026
Make sure your Aadhaar is linked to your active bank account and NPCI mapping is active. Do this before July 2026 so there is no last-minute scramble.
Check your application status one more time at the portal. If your status shows “Pending Verification” or “Under Review,” visit your block WCD office immediately to resolve it before the payment cycle.
